We fabricated the spindle index pulley on a CNC milling machine from a solid piece of 6061 aluminum. It could be fabricated on a manual milling machine. Also, the colar and index pulley could be fabricated separately and fastened together.
The holes must be drilled and reamed very accurately to align with the ornamental indexing veriner and the rosette cams. It must be bored for a slip fit on the spindle. This is probably the most difficult to fabricate and critical piece of the ornamental rose engine.
