The springs were removed for the above photograph to show how this Dupont power hammer linkage was designed so the arms would not bind before the hammer reached the maximum height of this linkage design.

This is a good view of the Dupont linkage main springs retaining shaft. The collar in the middle is welded to the shaft. The spring end pivots have an oiled bronze bushing for the spring retaining shaft.
