Custom Rose Engine & Ornamental Lathe
Latest photograph of the custom Rose Engine.

The Rose Engine has the chuck adjusting spider mounted. The variable speed control keeps the router speeds between 1000 and 5000 rpm.

The next projects include:
  1. I want to fabricate several more rosette cams utilizing the machine itself.
  2. The idle jack shaft, pulleys and motor drive need to be fabricated.
  3. The vernier index wheels need to be fabricated.
  4. I want to reshape the bearing blocks to remove some mass and bead blast them to a nicer finish.
